Our Services

Functional Medicine is an approach that combines the best of many different healing disciplines, adapting to the patient by providing him or her with the unique medical approach that is best for him or her. Below is a list of the services we most commonly provide to help our clients heal.

Nutritional Counseling

What you eat (and how your food is produced) has dramatic effects on your health. Dr. Bek provides patients with individualized recommendations based on blood type, family history, and any existing health conditions.

Iridology

Everyone says the eyes are the window to the soul, but they can also be the window to your body. Iridology is a comfortable, non-invasive analysis of the iris (the colored part of the eye) used to diagnose illness.

Subtle variations and patterns in the iris can reveal information about your health that you wouldn’t be able to know otherwise.

Iridology is being more and more accepted as a healing discipline in Europe, and gaining popularity in the US as well.

Shiatsu

Shiatsu is a Japanese form of acupressure that involves the application of pressure to various areas of the body’s surface to help heal ailments and conditions, improving energy flow in the body.
Shiatsu is based on the Chinese wisdom of qi, or meridians. According to Chinese medicine, there are channels of energy in the body. When these channels are impeded, illness results.
By correcting the energy channels of your body we can help you heal.

EFT/NLP/Journey Therapy

The past 40 years have seen a revolution in therapy. The rise of therapeutic disciplines that release emotional blocks at an energetic level, without forcing you to relive all of your negative past experiences, has helped millions of people find freedom and relief.
Emotional blocks not only dampen life, they also impact health. Releasing emotional trauma is often the key to healing physical ailments.
EFT

Reflexology

Reflexology is the gentle application of pressure to the feet to stimulate energy and release blockages.
Different parts of the feet correspond to different parts of the body. By working through the feet, we can address problems occurring in the rest of the body.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an important modality in Chinese medicine entailing the insertion of very thin needles into strategic points on the body.
Acupuncture seeks to eliminate blockages affecting qi, or energy flow in the body.
Different points on the body correspond to different energy channels.

Applied Kinesiology

Applied Kinesiology, or muscle testing, seeks to elicit information from the body or subconscious about your health.
The subconscious mind is incredibly powerful and often contains information that the conscious mind is unaware of.
Muscle testing communicates with the subconscious to learn about your body and can be a highly effective way of diagnosing illness.
